AGORA

AGORA is a non governmental association settled in Lorient, in the south of Britanny.  It is involved in the economic environment, has a social purpose. The main activities are accommodation for young and elderly people, training and teaching for unemployed people and continuous education, catering activity (collective restaurants). Inside the training sector, Agora manage a workshop for people who have basic skills needs. Agora has also a special European team whose aim is to manage European transnational projects.
The aim of the Association is to help jobless people to find a job and thus to contribute to the local development.

The Association was created in the 70′; each year, more than 4,000 people benefit from its services; it employs 120 persons.
It carries out training programmes that are ordered by the French or European Authorities, in close partnership with many local, -private or state- organisations.
