MoLeYa, Motivating and Encouraging Young Adults to Learn

(142115-LLP-1-2008-1-DE-GRUNDTVIG-GMP) is funded by the action Grundtvig within the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme.
MoLeYa deals with young adults who are characterised as functional illiterates.
Functional illiterates are people who attended school, either got a degree or dropped out and do not have sufficient basic education skills.
MoLeYa intends to create a so called “motivation-guide” which will include recommendations and strategies on involving and motivating young adults with lack of basic education. Furthermore it shall include strategies on how to support learners in learning settings.
All those information will be gained through analyses and evaluation of learners who are facing illiteracy, teachers and trainers in the field of illiteracy as well as experts, key persons and education centres in the partner countries.
The impact MoLeYa envisaged is to inform and raise awareness for the reasons and the effects of the averting learning behaviour and the motivation problems of (young) learners facing illiteracy. Further the projects intents to improve networks between trainers, teachers, key persons, social supporting centres as well as education centres and learners on a regional level but also at a European level.
